I was able to convince the sellers of the house to part with their
tractor for a very reasonable price. It came with a mower attachment, a

There have been some pretty bad bush fires nearby. Not close enough
to be a danger to our property but close enough to make the air smell
like a campfire and even block the sun a bit.

I really wish I had the camera handy when a young cow somehow got
through our fence and ended up trapped on our property. We often have
to drive slowly through herds of sheep on the way to the road we live
on. Kangaroos are common as are lots of noisy birds. I'll take more
pictures outside for the next installment of the Kimball's in
Australia.

Our Christmas was pretty quiet at home, although we did have
Christmas lunch at some friends house and visited another set of
friends on the way home.
